So, I've been working at NYSIF now for about a year-and-a-half. It's been a difficult 1.5 years, given that the job was supposed to be temp (I got it through an agency), and it's not what some might call my chosen career path. So with renewed vigor I search for more work.
I'm not even sure where to start, though I've signed onto my school's College Central - as an alumnus, of course. I know that for now, I can wait and keep searching. I'll log on every day and get my resume on there.
There's one thing that frightens me about this: experience.
I have gotten no experience in the writing field, outside of my work when I was in college. The past year-and-a-half has been devoted to writing the first of the series, the Tree in the Sky, which has not yet been published. But again, I'm in the process of sending said novel out to publishers - but also again, that's going to take a long time. I can't help but feel that I ought to have done something more.
Wondering what to do...
